After thats on just hit record and play. The sample will be auto placed in the playlist (lined up with your music) and on your sample rack. You will hear yourself but to avoid that you can temporally mute the output for that channel going to the Main channel or make it run to another channel and mute the channel as a whole. Also turning off effects will decrease the delay from mic to recording.
